Extraordinary Merry Christmas

Happy Tuesday! There are only a few more hours until this year's Christmas-themed Glee episode, which will be featuring the directorial debut of Matthew Morrison! Whoa there, Mr. Schue, that's kind of a big deal.

During an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Matthew Morrison announced that the episode will feature a combined tribute to the Star Wars and Judy Garland Christmas specials, and there will be an appearance by the one and only Chewbacca (unfortunately, he won't be singing). How they got George Lucas to agree to that, I would love to know!

Some of the songs that will be performed in this episode include:
"All I Want for Christmas Is You" - Mercedes & New Directions
"Blue Christmas" - Rory Flanagan
"Let it Snow" - Kurt & Blaine
"Do They Know It's Christmas?" - New Directions

and an original Christmas song titled "Extraordinary Merry Christmas". I've loved all of the original Glee songs so far, so I'm highly looking forward to that one! Let us know what you're most looking forward to in the comments, or, if you see this after the episode, what you liked best!

So, Let's Set the World on Fire

For those of you who tuned into last night's episode, you were treated to an amazing cover of the song "We Are Young" by a band called fun. at the end of the episode. (in addition to a Trouble Tones and New Directions reunion, at the same time! Finally!)

fun. is a band that an ex-boyfriend/dear friend of mine mentioned falling in love with a few years ago. (Said friend currently runs a fantastic music review website, which you should most definitely check out, if you are a fan of any kind of music.) I was never really interested in them, until I heard this song on Glee last night.

Now I've spent most of the day listening to the original version, and at some point soon, if I ever get some free time, I definitely intend to check out the rest of their music. The cover is equally amazing.

Take a listen to both versions and let us know what you think! If you enjoy fun., be sure to buy their new album, which hits stores (or, the Internet) in February!

"We Are Young" - fun.

By the way, is anyone else as excited as I am about Sam's return? I can't wait to see what happens between him and Mercedes!

New Posts & GCO

Hello everyone!

First of all, we'd like to apologize for the lack of updates the past couple months.

We've been very busy with our regular jobs, and haven't had time to update the site.  Also, many of our writers who were initially very optimistic about consistent writing for this blog, have also, for whatever reasons, not followed through.

So, we'd like to apologize, and say that starting next week, we should have some new reviews up for the episodes we've missed, some more character profiles, and just more posts in general!

If you would like to help, feel free to apply to become a writer.

Thanks to all of our followers, and we promise to have more awesome stuff for you to read soon!

Glee Season 3 Preview

With Glee returning for its 3rd season in a mere 2 hours and 11 minutes, we thought this might help pass the time!  Just watch the following video 50-80 times, and before you know it, Glee will be on!

Character Profile: Shelby Corcoran

Name: Shelby Corcoran

Played By: Idina Menzel

Age: around 30

Family: two daughters: Rachel (biological) and Beth (adopted)

Bio: Shelby Corcoran was first introduced in the second half of Season One as the strict coach of Vocal Adrenaline. But soon, she turns out to be Rachel's mother wanting to meet her daughter for the first time in her life. It was 16 years ago, that she served as a surrogate mother (for Rachel's dads), because she needed money to advance her career in New York. But she failed and eventually came back to Ohio to coach Vocal Adrenaline. In order to get Rachel's attention now, she uses Jesse to establish a relationship with her and deliver a taped message from mother to daughter, explaining why she left her when she was born. In the end, they meet, but Shelby tells Rachel that she has missed out on her entire childhood and does not think that reuniting would be a good idea, so they eventually go their own way. Shelby later has a short affair with Will Schuester and finally quits Vocal Adrenaline to start a new life with Quinn's daughter Beth, whom she adopts in the episode Journey.

Character Profile: Sunshine Corazon

Name: Sunshine Corazon

Played By: Charice Pempengco

Age: 16

Family: mother (name unknown)

Bio: Sunshine Corazon is an exchange student from the Philippines, who is first introduced in Audition. At first, she wants to become a new member of New Directions, but Rachel sends her to a crack house, because she is afraid of Sunshine being a better singer than her. She finally accepts to join Vocal Adrenaline and does not appear until later in the season. She is very short and often teased for her height. Nevertheless, her voice is amazing, which leads to her 600 Twitter followers and the ranking among the best ten Glee clubs at Nationals in New York.

Character Profile: Shannon Beiste

Name: Shannon Beiste

Played By: Dot Jones

Age: 40

Family: (unknown)

Bio: Shannon Beiste is the new football coach at McKinley High, after Ken Tenaka had a nervous breakdown because of the wedding disaster with Emma. At first, she is getting bullied by Sue and Schue, but Schue is quickly back on her side and even gives her her first kiss. She portrayed Santa Clause in A Very Glee Christmas, so Brittany wouldn't stop believing in him, and tried to help her football players winning the Super Bowl by making them join New Directions to learn how to act as a team. Shannon was being bullied in her childhood, because she was different from the other girls, and still is a sensitive woman, today, hiding behind a strong body and voice. She likes going to a cowboy bar called Rosalita's Roadhouse 'for stress relief', where she takes Schue in Blame It On The Alcohol and they sing and dance and get drunk.

Character Profile: Lauren Zizes

Name: Lauren Zizes

Played By: Ashley Fink

Age: 17

Family: (unknown)

Bio: Lauren Zizes is the new addition to New Directions since the episode Special Education, when Puck asks her to join after she had saved him from the port-a-potty the football team had locked him in. Since then, they can be seen as an item, but it may be discussed if they're actually in a relationship. In her childhood, Lauren won several pageants by doing baby pull-ups, almost leading to her being Little Miss Ohio. In high school, she is a successful member of the wrestling team and leader of the A/V Club. She is a passionate Twilight fan, which leads to several frightening events in the episode Theatricality, and loves chocolate and candy.

To Sir, With Glee

The Season 1 Finale was not only a dream come true for all Finchel fans, but also Wemma, Quick and Belby (yes, also motherly love counts!) had their moment. In each paragraph of the following recap, I'm going to hide the songs which have been sung in this episode, so keep your eyes open!

Epic Quotes from Original Songs

Of course the Kurt-Blaine kiss along with New Directions win in the Regionals, but we couldn't miss the lines that made us laugh and hit us right in the head. So, I compiled some of the quotes from the last episode. Here they are:

Sue: Consider this as the opening salvo of World War Sue.

Sue: Well, well... if it isn't Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Fake Boobs

Mercedes: But my butt Mr. Schu that song was amazing.

William: What's your favorite song of all time?
Brittany; My Headband

William: What those song all about?
Brittany: Headbands?

Quinn: Rachel if you keep looking for that happy ending, you'll never get it right.

Sue: William, while you're kids are singing songs about blackheads and eczema, I will be unleashing a ser list custom made for that panel of judges.

Kurt: Has anyone ever been literally died on stage?
Blaine: Are you nervous?
Kurt: Please don't judge me.

Quinn: I know what you're thinking: Prom Queen? You're smart and super pretty and relatively sane for a girl.

Santana: All I know is you blew me off to be with Stubbles McCripplePants.

Blaine: You move me Kurt

Tammy Jones: I Twittered that Obama was a terrorist... I had to, it's a fact.

Quinn; Prom Queens live, on average, five years longer that regular people. Probably because they smile all the time.

Quinn: How damaged does a guy have to be into some as annoying as Rachel.

I know these are just some of the funniest quotes from Original Song. If you have one from the last episode, please do leave it as a comment.

XOXO

Episode 2.16, "Original Song" Recap

Here's what happened on yesterday's last episode:

The Warblers opened the show with Maroon 5's Misery with an intensified energy......well, besides Kurt. Kurt admits that he is jealous of Blaine getting all the solos and all the numbers and he feels like the Warblers are actually "Blaine and the pips".

Meanwhile in Mckinley, Rachel tries another attempt in her songwriting gig and asks Finn about her new song "Only Child". Well, the song turned okay but it is not far from "My Headband". Finn thinks that Rachel played scared with her song and suggests she look deep inside herself and find where the songs are coming from. While their conversation is going, lurking around the corner is Quinn who seems very jealous with the ex-lovers. It turns out that Quinn wants to be the Prom Queen for the year and she thinks that being with Finn is the fast-ride to that status. However, she cannot get Finn with Rachel playing cute girl around so she plans to "keep her enemy closer" and befriend Rachel.

The scene shifts to the nail polishing Kurt who whistles beside Pavarotti the bird. Without doing anything at all, the bird drop dead so Kurt showed up in the Warbler meeting (should I say "parliamentary procedures"?) the next day with a recording tape. He sings a heart warming rendition of The Beatles Blackbird and ending up with tears streaking in his well-moisturized cheeks. Blaine was obviously moved and inspired by the solo and suggested to the group, through a point of order, that he wanted to do a duet with Kurt at the Regionals.

(Here comes the best part) While Kurt was decorating the casket of Pavarotti, Blaine approached him. Kurt asked Blaine why he picked him for a duet and Blaine said that while Kurt was singing he realized that Kurt was the one he is looking for (I blush). The two shared a kiss confirming their affection with one another. Although I am not for Kurt and Blaine, I still think that this kiss is hot.

Back at McKinley, Brittany asks Santana why she is not talking to her. Santana said that Brittany blew her off and that it's Brittany's lost. Sue, the new coach of Aural Intensity, enters the scene saying that she will get back to them by deserting her in Cheerios. So Brittany and Santana opens their locker and come all the dirts in their mouth and on their clothes. Brittany has no memories of putting dirts in their locker.

William received a cease and decease order from somewhere stating that they could not sing My Chemical Romance for the Regionals. Rachel raised again her suggestion that New Directions should sing original songs. As a part of her plot, Quinn backs Rachel saying that they do their best when they push themselves. Finn agreed and it was decided that New Directions will be having original songs for their set list. (Thus the title of the episode!). As a result, Santana wrote a "heterosexual song" for Sam titled Trouty Mouth which ended up with Sam being insulted. Puck tries to get another shot for Lauren and sings her his song Bad Ass Heart. Mercedes transforms her famous expression to a song and performs Hell to the No. All these were not considered for the regionals so Will asked the club their notion of pain. The kids all feels that being branded as a loser is their personal pain so they all agreed to write a song with a title Loser Like Me.

At the day of the competitions, Sue came to Will and said that New Directions is about to lose for singing original songs. Will comments that Sue is having too much of a confidence for a rookie and she said that Aural Intensity's set list is custom made for the panel of judges. It turned out that Sue let AI sing Jesus Is My Friend in order to touch the taste of the nun judge. The Warbler's performed the Blaine and Kurt's duet Candles from Hey Monday and finishing their number with Pink's Raise Your Glass.

Finn approached Rachel on the backstage saying that he was really impressed with the song. Rachel, broken hearted from knowing that Quinn and Finn are back together, asked him to listen very carefully in the song for she means every word of it. Rachel sings her every own song Get It Right which is inspired by her failed relationship with Finn and her desire to reconcile with her ex. Finn seemed amazed in the background. To cap off their number, New Direction sang their anthem Loser Like Me expressing their response to the people who brand them as loser. They ended up slushing the audience with red confetti.

During the deliberation, the Palin-esque judge Tammy Jones expressed that she is disturbed by the Warbler's performance because of the "gayness" of the number. Sister Mary Constance, whose liberality as a nun comes from the fact that she is a former stripper,  disagrees with Tammy saying that she enjoys the duet and she is not buying Aural Intensity's number. Rod Remmington raised New Direction in the deliberation and Tammy said that she didn't like Loser Like Me because she never felt like a loser even though she lost the recent election . Rod pushes them to vote afterwards. The governor's wife announced New Directions as the winner. While they were rejoicing, Sue punched the governor's wife straight to the face and she leaves the stage.

Days after the regionals, Blaine and Kurt buried Pavarotti and Blaine thinks that this "funeral" reminds Kurt about the death of her mother. Kurt admits that but the sadness is still compounded by losing the Regionals. Blaine said that they had won each other anyway and the two leaves the grave holding each other's hand.

Back in McKinley, Holly sends her congratulations via a flirty phone call to Will. Will gives Rachel the MVP award. Touched by the appreciation, Rachel delivers an emotional thank-you speech and she was approached by the team ending the episode with their happiest group hug.

Your Favorite Moments From "Original Song"

There we go! I was left with much more satisfied and happy feelings after watching 'Original Song' than I had after watching 'Sexy'. Personally, I was SO happy about Kurt and Blaine FINALLY kissing. Their duet was *amazing* (I love Hey Monday) and so were the "original songs". I was even kinda feeling for a few minutes like I wanted the Warblers to win. Oops. I also really enjoyed this interaction between Mercedes and Sue...

Mercedes: What are you doing?
Sue: Throwing sticks at your head.

What the?! LOL. So funny.

Here's what some of our Twitter followers enjoyed...
@cookieswafting: EVERYTHING IS KLAINE AND NOTHING HURTS. Yes. So agreeing with you.
@tinde124: 1.Klaine kiss 2.New Directions won 3.#GetItRight 4.#LoserLikeMe 5.Finn's face when he watched Rachel sing 6.Blackbird...
@MissMelissaEK: brittanys favourite song being "my headband".
@SomeMidlifeGlee: Watching this group watch the kiss scene brings it all back.

Thanks for the input, everyone! If you'd like for us to include you on this list, send us a Tweet @gleeclubonline, or post your favorite moment from the episode in the comments.

Is Chord Dating Tay?

Seems like our Sam has found his real-life Quinn Fabray. Spotted at the Staples Center in LA, Chord Overstreet and Taylor Swift were sitting side by side in a hockey game. Then few days later, they both attended the Mont Blanc Cocktail Party in West Hollywood.

So we wonder if it's true that Tay is getting some Sam abs. Are they really dating? Or just hanging around? We'll see......

Episode 2.15, "Sexy" Recap

The following summary of "Sexy" was written by our new writer, Angel!

In the last week’s episode, Gwyneth Paltrow reprises as Holly Holiday as the aggressive sex education substitute teacher who battled up against the prissy-ness army of Emma and her Celibacy Club. So as Emma teaches Rachel and Quinn to avoid intimacy at any cost, Holly spreads the fact that cucumbers don’t have the ability to spread HIV and storks do not deliver babies. As noted by Holly that all Glee Club members are showing signs of misunderstandings when it comes to sex, Will employed her help and she performed an over-the-top version of “Do You Wanna Touch Me” and everything was spiced up after that.

And as the Regionals draws near, Sue gave hints to Kurt and Blaine that in order for the Warblers to devour New Directions they have to “over-sex” them so they performed a bath-soap-themed version of “Animal” in front of high-socked, mini-skirted ladies from their sister school. Blaine (as always) worked it leaving the girls drooling and panting after Blaine’s number much to their futility. After the performance, Kurt realized that his sex appeal is no more than that of a baby penguin leaving him practicing sexy looks beside Blaine with their dismay. Disturbed about how uninformed Kurt is when it comes to sex, Blaine went to Burt and asked him to have “sex-talks” with Kurt which ended up in Burt awkwardly handling SexEd pamphlets to Kurt.

Vanity Fair Writer Uses Anti-Gay Slur

This is just disgusting.

I recently came upon this online Vanity Fair post, "The Gay Guide to Glee: Season 2, Brett Berk, the author, wrote about Episode 15, 'Sexy". He decided to use a sickening, revolting, anti-gay slur when writing about Glee's two resident gay characters, Kurt and Blaine, and their cover of Neon Trees' Animal.

He wrote:
"Nice singing. But how can having girls in the audience make these cartwheeling, foam-party fags straight-sexy?"
Um, offensive.

I was definitely not expecting this from such a reputable magazine such as Vanity Fair. Shame on Brett Berk and shame on VF for letting this be published.

So sad that people still even use that term.
So, so sad.

They were blamin' it on the aaaaaaalcohol alright

The New Directions imbibed enough alcohol to blame a whole episode's worth of antics on! Parties, drinking, spin the bottle, singing and throwing up. The Glee Clubbers did one heck of a number and I'm not talking about their performances.

Parents Television Council Thought That 'Sexy' Was "Cheap" on Glee!

The PTC are taking this episode way out of proportion. Seriously, it's JUST a show. They went on to explain that:
"From the beginning of the episode, it was pretty clear the gist of it was going to be that abstinence is off the table and we're going to make the celibacy club look like the nerds convention essentially. There was very little doubt — despite the sort of lip service the show gave to responsible sexual activity — that the gist of the show was lap dances with students is cool, the celibacy club is not, and when it's presented in that way, it really cheapens whatever discussion there is about
 consequence and responsibility."

The Dalton Warblers are Getting Their Own Album!

Yes, Gleeks! You read that correctly!

Now not only will we be having our regular volumes of music from the Glee episodes, we'll have a whole CD just from our favorite McKinley High rival glee club!

No release date is offical....however, I did get word on a April debut. Obvious featured songs will include: Hey, Soul Sister, Teenage Dream, Bills, Bills, Bills, and When I Get You Alone.

Even though I have every song they've done so far, I still find this EXTEREMLY exciting and a freshing change!

Will you be picking up a copy?

Glee-Cap: February

Happy March fellow GCO-ers! So sorry I'm behind on my February Glee post, but life got in the way! Anyway....here's what happened in the month of February...

Cast & Guest Stars:
Nick Jonas is the latest celebrity "gleek" to express interest to be on the show. When asked for comment he expressed that he would be "honored" to have him or his music on the show. I could totally see him as a Warbler...Just sayin'.

Your Favorite Moments From "Sexy"

Perhaps I'm shooting myself in the foot by even attempting another post about 'Sexy' but I make one of these every week. My favorite moment from the episode was Kurt attempting to make "sexy" faces during the Dalton Academy Warblers performance of "Animal" by Neon Trees. I also enjoyed Will's actual sexy faces during his performance of "Kiss" with Holly.

I asked our Twitter followers what THEIR favorite moments were, and here are a few responses I received:

@deiashadows: man-to-man talk between blaine and burt, and between burt and kurt.
@EpicWemma: Emma admitting she is confused about her feelings for Will.
@audreybettina: Kurt's line about Broadway romance! It was so sweet! :)
@ryanls15: Afternoon Delight. & Everybody's got a random.
@otipoti: Kurt's "talk"

Shocked no one mentioned BRITTANA. Thanks for the quick input, y'all. If your favorite moment didn't get posted, leave it as a comment!

Brittana: Yes or No? POLL

Warning: This post may contain spoilers. Do not continue if you haven't watched "Sexy" yet!!

Immediately following my viewing of last night's episode, I went to Twitter to express my confusion over Santana confessing her love for Brittany. Apparently, I was the only one who did not "see it coming" and I clearly must live under a rock. May I just say that the person I watched the show agreed with my assessment of it being a little weird!! I'm not the only one. (But we may be the only two?)

I decided to create a poll to see if I'm truly in the minority with my non-approval of the Santana/Brittany relationship. I do agree that Naya Rivera gave an outstanding and completely convincing performance, and her singing of "Landslide" was very sweet, but, I don't watch Glee for drama. I watch it for comedy. and the songs. So, I think that's why I'm just a little confused. and who knows, maybe the Brittana thing will eventually grow on me and I'll learn to appreciate it.

I'd like to hear your thoughts about this in the comments, but please try to be respectful of opinions that may differ from yours! Thanks.

UPDATE: The poll has been infiltrated by Brittana fan sites and message boards. Awesome! At least the site is getting tons of traffic right now. I should also add that I have absolutely no problem with same-sex relationships.. or sex.. or anything like that. I'm not morally opposed to those things in any way, but, like I tried to explain earlier, I don't watch Glee to learn important life lessons. I'm 27 years old. Most of my life lessons are already learned ;) I had no idea the Brittana fan base was so huge! Hopefully some of you will stick around the site after you vote in the poll :)

Matthew Morrison on David Letterman

In case any of you missed it (like I somehow did), Matthew Morrison was a guest on The Late Show With David Letterman on Friday, February 25. This interview features a clip of Matthew performing with his fake boy band, Fresh Step. Kinda hilarious. Oh, and he talks about how his dad was a midwife, and how he used to be a bartender. Enjoy!

Your Favorite Moments From "Blame It on the Alcohol"

There were so many great moments in last night's episode... haha. I particularly enjoyed seeing "drunk" Blaine and Will... Finn's explanation of the drunk "archetypes"..  pretty much everyone "drunk" was hilarious.. Rachel's song about her headband.. Principal Figgins' pronunciation of Ke$ha.. and the group performance of "Blame It"! OH, and BECKY with the little bell thing before Sue made her announcement over the school's intercom.. CLASSICCCCC!  Honestly, there were so many, and now I'm re-watching the episode while I make this post, so I keep adding more. Here are some of our Twitter followers favorites!

@deiashadows: any moment that @DarrenCriss was on..
@deiashadows: this episode was just so epic it should be named >blaine< on the alcohol
@chylalyla: Evrything b/w @msleamichele & @DarrenCriss: kiss & duet!
@Amanda809: the rachel and blaine kiss, and kurt saying okayyyy thats enough or Finn going thru the different types of drunks lol
@LSYC88: I love the ep tonight. It was fun! :-)
@Belx2: Blaine drunk dancing, Finn explaining the different kinds of drunk, Klaine quarrel, Burt finding Blaine on Kurt's bed..Ke$ha number, Blaine admitting he's 100% gay, BlainexRachel drunk duet, Rachel's Headband song, Everyone drunk!
@EpicWemma: The drunk dial!
@dustinalcorn: it tastes like pink. IT TASTES LIKE PINKKKKK!

Awesome. If we missed you, leave a comment!

Epic Quotes: "Blame It on the Alcohol" Edition

This episode actually did not have very many epic quotes so much as it had many epic moments. It was, however, a fun episode with some good quotables! In honor of this episode, I sat down and cracked open a bottle of beer while watching (I am over 21 so it's all good). I think it's safe to say we can blame all of these quotes on the a-a-a-a-a-a-alcohol. On to the epicness!

Nothing Silly About These Love Songs!

As I said in my epic quotes edition for this episode, "Silly Love Songs" was one of my favorite episodes of the season. This episode was cute, although sometimes a little cliche (if you couldn't guess that Blaine's crush was not on Kurt you may have been hiding under a rock for a few too many years), and the performances were solid.

Judges for Regionals Announced

This week it was announced that Kathy Griffin and Loretta Devine will both be guest-starring on Glee as judges for Regionals. Griffin, known for her Bravo show My Life on the D-List has been said to play a Sarah Palin–esque character. Devine, who is known as Dr. Richard Webber’s wife Adele on Grey’s Anatomy, will be playing an ex-stripping nun. No other announcements about judges for the episode have been made, but more judges are expected in the episode.

Dianna Agron on Jimmy Kimmel Live

Following her trip to the Grammy Awards, the lovely Dianna Agron stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live on Valentine’s Day to talk about her caring limo driver to the event, the Glee girls’ encounter with Beyoncé (“the most fabulous bathroom party ever”), and how she landed her role as Sarah in I Am Number Four. This is one of the most charming Dianna interviews and is definitely worth watching.

Review: Episode 2.13, “Comeback”

The following was written by friend of the site (and potential new writer!), Chelsea. Remember her, the girl that interviewed Chris Colfer on MTV a few weeks ago? Here's what she had to say about the latest episode...

Overall, I was pleased with this episode. I’m going to talk about the few things that stuck out to me about the episode, even though there are many more things I could share.

Your Favorite Moments From "Comeback"

WOW. This was one of my favorite episodes in awhile. and I've gotta say that my favorite part was, indeed, the whole "Justin Bieber Experience" one man band thing.. that all the guys eventually just had to get involved with. Amazing. and Brittany, as usual, had some positively hilarious things to say! I also enjoyed Mike asking Tina if she was playing Angry Birds while they were kissing. (Why, yes, I am playing Angry Birds, because I just discovered about two days ago that were new winter levels!!)

We asked our Twitter followers what their favorite moments were, and here are some of the responses!!

There is veeery good news for those who can't go to Europe for the Glee tour this year because it is too far away: The Glee cast is going on tour in the US and Canada(!) this summer, just before the tour in Europe. Isn't that good news?!

Things That Hit Harder Than an Offensive Tackle

The Super Bowl episode (or "The Sue Sylvester Shuffle") definitely hit harder than an offensive tackle in the Super Bowl could, in many ways. The two major happenings of this episode were performances and relationships (the common two).

Glee Chevy Commercial during the Super Bowl

There wasn't only Glee after the Super Bowl, but also during the event. This is a Chevy commercial featuring several members of the Glee cast, performing "See The USA (In Your Chevrolet)":

Epic Quotes: "The Sue Sylvester Shuffle" Edition

What a show! Be sure to catch my upcoming "glee-cap" of the episode as I have many many thoughts on it. But for now, on to some epic quotes!

It’s just another day at McKinley High and the Glee kids are happy, because they apparently have a chance at winning Regionals against Vocal Adrenaline, until… well, let the funk battle begin:

The Fight Against Gagging Gaga

Ok, I have to admit, I don’t really like Lady Gaga singing her songs - so I don’t listen to them - but this episode made me love (at least) the covers by Glee - I guess, Gaga fans would call that a progress. I like how Lady Gaga supports different organizations and as provocative as she is with her clothes - or without, for that matter - it's (most often) for a good cause. So I'm not at all for gagging Gaga, because she has something to say, and so does the Glee club. Here’s what I especially loved in this episode:

Darren Criss On Ellen

Before I continue my work on the last few episodes of the first season, I have to share this video with you:

Earlier this week, Darren Criss was having a little chat on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. And he even sang a song for her, written by himself! If you want to know, what the song was about, you have to check this video out. All I'm gonna say is: Disney, but not Disney... See for yourself and enjoy:

Epic Quotes: "The Substitute" Edition

There were so many excellent quotes in this episode that  1) it was hard to write all of them down and 2) it was hard to pick which ones to include. I think you will find this selection of quotes to be the cream of the crop. Onward!

Dream A Little Dream Of Glee

As the title suggests, dreams are the main part of this episode. In order to emphasize the importance of dreams, they take Neil Patrick Harris, who plays Barney Stinson on How I Met Your Mother, and convert him into a school board member, who is so miserable since he stopped singing, that he has come to McKinley High to deliver the bad news of budget cuts in the art program and that no dream will ever come true. This character is Mr. Bryan Ryan (what an invention of a name!) and is pretty familiar to Mr. Schue as a ladies’ man of his own high school times. But Schue soon finds out Ryan’s weakness and can convince him to audition for the local production of Les Mis, where they eventually duet Aerosmith’s Dream On.

Epic Quotes: "Never Been Kissed" Edition

So moving into a new apartment and being without internet (or TV!) for a few days really puts a damper on productivity. But thankfully I'm back online! (and in a much better living situation...ay yi yi). How many of you have never been kissed? Remember that Drew Barrymore movie? Keep holding on, one will come for you. As Blaine says, courage. And with that, it's time for some epic quotes!

Kurt's Turn or How Mario Bros. Changed Civilization

The episode Laryngitis starts with a shock for Glee jock Puck, whose Mohawk got shaved off by the doctor, due to the false diagnosis of a freckle. He doesn’t only lose his scalp hair, but also his confidence and reputation. It goes as far as a dumpster toss by Jacob and his friends, so Puck makes up a plan for getting his rep back: Dating Mercedes, who has become popular since joining the cheerios.

Epic Quotes: "Grilled Cheesus" Edition

This was a much more somber episode than we are normally accustomed to with Glee, so excuse the fewer quotes--rightly, I think this episode had fewer epic quotes than most. However, still enjoy!

Epic Quotes: "Britney/Brittany" Edition

With the return of Glee this Sunday, I am trying to collect all of the epic quotes from the remaining episodes of the season so far. With that said, on to some awesome quotes!

Post Secret: Glee

New Wins, Nominations, Concerts and Other News

Last week was full of events for the Glee cast members, I wonder how they still manage to shoot their scenes without dying of exhaustion and tiredness…

First of all, there were the Golden Globes: Those of you who watched the cast take home the award for best comedy series last year, might have thought they wouldn’t win again. But you were wrong! They didn’t only win the award for best comedy series but also two more awards: Jane Lynch won for best supporting actress and Chris Colfer for best supporting actor in a comedy series. Check out his emotional acceptance speech here:

Character Profile: Noah 'Puck' Puckerman

Name: Noah 'Puck' Puckerman

Played By: Mark Salling
Age: 16
Family: Mother & Sister (Both Un-Named) Beth Puckerman (Daughter)

Bio: Puck is the resident 'badass' of Mckinley High. Well known for sleeping with a mom or two, bullying, and flirting with the girls at school (but only the pretty ones). He has an on/off relationship with feisty cheerleader Santana Lopez and also with her best friend, Brittany Peirce. But there is one girl whom he has always wanted to be with, and that is his best friend Finn's girlfriend, Quinn Fabray. Eventually, he does end up sleeping with her, and after what they both thought would be a quiet one night stand, Puck's world is shaken when Quinn reveals she is pregnant with HIS BABY!! Puck constantly tries to prove himself to Quinn, but that doesn't mean he will ever stop being his usual 'Puckzilla' self. He briefly dated Rachel Berry and Mercedes Jones. After the birth of their daughter, Quinn and Puck seemed to go their own separate ways. It was speculated that Puck drove his mom's car into a shop window and stole an ATM machine out of depression, which resulted in him going to Juvie. Puck may appear to be a bad boy, and in some ways he is, but he also has a soft side, which the ladies love.

Best Quotes:

I looked it up. Chicks don't have prostates. (Season 1, Episode 1, Pilot)

I bet you thought that Bert and Ernie were just roommates too. (Season 1, Episode 10, Ballad)

God, I’m so tired of people judging me for a few mistakes I’ve made. I’ve tried to be a good guy, I go to school and I say “be cool Puck, be nice” but by second period I’ve got a fire extinguisher in my hand and I’m spraying some dweeb with it and I don’t know how I got there. (Season 1, Episode 17, Bad Reputation)

They called Paul Stanley 'The Starchild' because he was romantic or something but that doesn't really explain my whore lips (Season 1, Episode 20, Theatricality)

While Jackie Daniels is a great name for a power boat or something, it's not great for a baby girl. (Season 1, Episode 20, Theatricality)

Can I be shirtless under this apron? (Season 1, Episode 21, Funk)

Life's just a bunch of experiences, you know? You don't get a medal at the finish line for being good. You just get dead. (Season 1, Episode 22, Journey)

I’m a total Jew for Jesus. He’s my number one Heb. (Season 2, Episode 3, Grilled Cheesus)

I don't pay for food. It's my thing, yo. We're gonna dine and dash. (Season 2, Episode 6, Never Been Kissed)

There's no way I'm going back to Juvie. There's no chicks and no Kosher meals in that place. (Season 1, Episode 6, Never Been Kissed)

Don't push me Karofsky. You pushed my boy Kurt out of here. Juvie or no, you're already number one on my list to go all Deathstar on. (Season 2, Episode 9, Special Education)

This was my Uncle's (watch) . . . And the first thing I stole. (Season 2, Episode 10, A Very Glee Christmas)
