Glee Trivia: Livestream with Dominic Barnes & Lauren Chavez

Last night, I accidentally stumbled upon a tweet by little known Glee Warbler Dominic Barnes, announcing that he and his best friend Lauren Chavez (who was also on Glee as an extra) were going to have a livestream with fans later that night. Of course, this would be nothing compared to the big tweet peats, the main actors have already done, but maybe that's the reason why I eventually liked it - because it was more private. So, let me tell you the whole story:

I checked the site out and there were "Dom" and Lauren, greeting (mostly his) fans one by one (also me =D) via webcam, until the number of fans rose to more than 50 people and the chat started to move too fast to read every message. Unfortunately, those 50 people were the top limit of admitted viewers of Dom’s webstream as he hadn’t verified his account yet. People who joined later, only got to see the chat box and didn’t know what was going on in the video as they could neither hear nor see Lauren and Dom. Luckily, I was one of those first 50 people, so I could watch them laugh and talk to their fans in a very funny and, above all, natural way.

At one point, they sang “Bless the Broken Road” together (see for a video below) and then they started a contest, in which the fans had to name a song Dom played on his iPhone. The first person to write the right title into the chat box could choose any song they would sing for us fans (given that Dom and Lauren knew the song, of course). The first song to be guessed, was “After Today” from A Goofy Movie and the winner wanted them to sing that song. But Dom suggested that he knew “Stand Out” better, and since the winner was ok with that, they sang that one instead. Then people asked them to play Glee songs, because everyone would know those better. So they played “Borderline / Open Your Heart” and the winner made them sing “Teenage Dream”.

Then, Dom’s mom arrived and said hello into the webcam and later, some more friends came over, and they even got his dog to look into the webcam. Since Lauren and he had been dancing earlier during the livestream, the fans eventually got Dom to do Beyoncé’s Single Ladies dance. Fortunately, littlelottie recorded that, but, unfortunately, without sound… So I added the music to the video and hope you like it:

Dom first wasn’t sure if he should allow us to upload that video anywhere but fortunately he eventually did =) But he said, he wants to make clear that he doesn't want to show off his dance skills and try to be better than Chris, so it's up to you to judge ;)

With all his friends arriving, Dom eventually told us, that he was going to leave. But he promised to do another livestream pretty soon, he actually said, next monday, so if you don’t want to miss that, stay tuned to his Twitter feed! Though he didn't give away any Glee spoilers (good boy! Does as he was told!), I'm looking forward to the next livestream with him for a little chat and more music, of course with Lauren as well!
