The young actor wasn’t really a singer before working on Glee. So his agent had him send in a tape where he was playing the drums, which he’s been playing since the age of 7, to showcase his musicality. Except, it wasn’t actually on drums – it was on Tupperware! The idea worked, because it led to an audition. Before Glee, Cory worked on a number of films and television shows, including Final Destination 3, and the ABC Family show, Kyle XY.
Though he plays a high schooler in Glee, Cory actually dropped out of high school when he was a freshman.
