It's a Big Day for Glee!

As if the Glee cast doesn't have enough to celebrate lately it seems that the reasons continue to grow! As you all probably know by now, Glee has been picked up for a second season. I'm sure none of us were worried that this would happen but the cool part about it is that they were picked up nearly three months before it is usually announced. This is a really big deal in the entertainment industry so a HUGE congratulations goes out to Ryan Murphy and the entire cast & crew. What a great success story for a show no one thought would catch on. HA!!


The other huge news comes to us from Kristin Dos Santos from E! where none other than Jane Lynch confirms the guest appearance of one of the greatest entertainers of our time...Olivia Newton John!!! Holy cow, I think my head may explode. Oh and get this...she is sharing screen and singing time with Sue Sylvester!!


Jane told E! exclusively:
"I'm so excited I can't see straight! [Olivia] provided the soundtrack for my tortured adolescence. Her charitable work and commitment to making others' lives and the life of the planet better is so inspiring."

According to Watch with Kristin "Olivia will guest star on the back nine of Glee when the series returns in late spring. She'll sing a duet with Jane, which is none other than "Let's Get Physical," and we can only assume Olivia will be rocking a hot sweat suit à la Sue Sylvester!"


Oh and this just in...Glee was just nominated for a Writers Guild Award!!! What an incredible day it must be in the halls of McKinley! Ugh, I wish I were a fly on the wall (or in Matt Morrison's trailer - creepy?)
