My Thoughts on the Golden Globes

I'm sure you're all sick of hearing from me by now (especially if you follow me on Twitter)...too bad. You all know how excited I was for the Golden Globes tonight. I thought for sure that Glee would win at least 2 of it's 4 nominations but the night started to turn sour for me pretty quick.

First, Lea lost. Then Matt. Then...JANE! I was floored by Jane's loss. Absolutely floored. My whole body was shaking with anger when I heard that she did not win it. I actually think I may have blacked out.

But at least the Hollywood Foreign Press (barely) redeemed themselves when it was announced that Glee had indeed won for best comedy. My heart was bursting with...um...glee to see the cast up on stage and so very happy. They deserved it 1000000000 per cent!! How cute were they jumping up and down and lovin' on each other?

So, if any of you wonderful members of the Glee cast read this site (and I hope you do), a very hearty congratulations on a much deserved win tonight. You fill our lives with joy and happiness and I think I speak for everyone here at GleeClubOnline when I say that we ADORE you and ADORE the show.

Thank you for bringing us such GLEE!!!

YAY GLEE! GLEE KIDS HOORAY!!!

  3. I agree as well. They were ABSOLUTELY ROBBED. As, just going to say it because I, too felt very passionately for this movie, The Hurt Locker. My soul is an abyss and I must say overall that I am disappointed by tonight's awards. I'm thrilled Glee won, however, and I feel they will be back next year, no doubt.

  5. I was pretty upset about Jane's loss, too. I thought Lea and Matty would be long-shots, but I really thought Jane was a shoo-in.

I got over it fast when the show won, though. :D

  6. I too was shocked that Jane lost, but think of it this way... Glee is loved! And who knows, maybe next year, Jane will get a win. The thing is that there are a lot of politics behind what happens in Hollywood. She may not have lost because people thought she was less talented, but because someone had more pull. I have no doubt that Jane deserved that prize. Whether she received it or not doesn't matter to me. In my mind & heart, she's the winner.

  7. the people that beat lea, matt, and jane for golden globes had been nominated at least once before and hadn't gotten it either. my music history professor says "to be successful, you must be unsuccessful." and i think that's what's going on here. they'll get their much-deserved awards next year!
but i am VERY glad that they won best tv comedy. :D they deserved it!

    :]

  10. I agree as well...100% because Glee was ROBBED!!! I'm excited about the fact that they won at least one award but, like you, I thought that they would have at least one two awards and a show that I don't even like, got an award (though why is beyond me) so I'm a little disappointed with the awards this year but I'm more happy about the awards because "Glee" won at least one award that they deserved!
