You know that saying about women loving bad boys? It’s true. Some of us might not admit it, but we all do. So, it's only natural that Glee’s resident bad boy has become one of my favorite characters. At first, Noah “Puck” Puckerman, played by Mark Salling, was nothing more to me than the slushie-tossing jackass who loved to throw my beloved Kurt (AND his Marc Jacobs jacket, gasp!) into trash bins. When I was in high school, guys like Puck tortured girls like me. I was one of those literary magazine nerds. I hung out with the fellow losers who dyed their unwashed hair purple, strummed on guitars during lunch and wrote heinously bad, weepy poetry. The jocks called me all sorts of names. They made high school a living hell. So why is it that Puck, one of “them,” is so appealing? Here are five reasons to love Puck, even though he’s kind of a tool.

Off To See The Wizard
For my first post, I thought I could drop some crazy bombshell news or nab an exclusive interview. Nope, I'm not that special......yet.However, I do have a piece of info that is keeping my stomach in knots of excitement. I nearly "squeed" with delight when I saw that the New York Post is reporting that both Kristin Chenoweth AND Lea Michele have signed on to star in the 2011 animated telling of Frank Baum's "Dorothy of Oz".
From the NY Post: "Lea will take on the role of the title character, Dorothy, while Kristin is planning to lend her voice to the role of China Doll Princess, a new edition to the storyline (Kristin already has a history with Oz — she famously played Glinda the Good Witch in the Broadway production of "Wicked" in 2003). As for the plot, the story focuses on what happened to Oz after Dorothy left, and the action kicks off as she returns to Kansas, which has been decimated by the twister that transported her to the technicolor world."

Predictions For April's Return of Glee
(This is by our new writer, Amy). This is the article she included in her interview packet:
It's been a long winter without Glee, hasn't it? As we all suffer through the remaining 12 weeks (ouch) until its return, why not speculate on what's to come? I have a few guesses. First, I have to yank off my big-girl, mature-writer hat for just a moment and squeal in delight at the thought of Idina Menzel making an appearance as the director of Vocal Adrenaline. For a theater geek, Idina is the ultimate. I know she will trot out some of her Maureen-esque bravado and brazen confidence. I can only hope I don't fall off the couch and break something when she sings a number.

Since we are sadly losing Rachel in about a week *Tear* (You can still follow her on her new blog, GleeHab.com) .... We went ahead and hired two new writers for the site! We had many submissions in the past few hours, and we thank all who applied.
And trust us, it's not because your applications were written poorly or not appreciated. It's just that two of the applicants REALLY stood out to us. They are Sarah (@lokweesha) and Amy (@Ninfan30)!

GCO Exclusive Interview with Stephen Tobolowsky
Without Sandy Ryerson there would be no Glee. It’s true! Think about it. If he had not been dismissed from school for his questionable interactions with students Will Shuester would not have volunteered to take on coaching the glee club. The great news about Sandy Ryerson is that he has continued to keep tabs on his former club and continues to show up in some of the best episodes of this great show.
A couple of weeks ago I had the great opportunity to have a little telephone chat with Stephen Tobolowsky, the incredible actor who plays the famed Sandy Ryerson. What an honor! I have been a big fan of Mr. Tobolowsky for years ever since I saw him on Broadway in a little play called “Morning’s at Seven” (for which he was nominated for a Tony). And I really had to restrain myself from going all fangirly on him when I heard his distinctive voice on the other end of my phone.
New Characters For Season Two
Spoiler Alert!
Ryan Murphy revealed a few weeks ago that next season there will be three new characters. One of these will be a better singing rival for Rachel, another will be a jock-type boyfriend for Kurt, and we now know (thanks to Ausiello, as always!) that the third will be a "male Mercedes".
Think you have what it takes to play one of these roles? Then check out the nation-wide open casting call that Fox is having, coming in February. Just promise me that if you make it on the show, you won't forget about GleeClubOnline.com!

Sue and Schuester still argue! And that everyone who has broken up, stay that way and find new peeps

Today Fox released a promo for the upcoming Glee tour. Check it out!
Wedding Bells to Chime for Jane Lynch
Come May, Jane Lynch will marry longtime girlfriend Dr. Lara Embry! Jane spilled the beans to the New York Times Carpetbagger blog while on the red carpet at the Golden Globe awards. Jane & Lara met at a National Center for Lesbian rights event in May 2009 where Embry received the organization's Justice Award and Jane was there to introduce The L Word creator who was also receiving an award.
Golden Globe Award, SAG Award, and a WEDDING! What a great streak for everyone's favorite nasty cheer coach!
Congratulations Jane & Lara!

SAG Awards
Tune in tonight on TBS at 8/7c for the SAG Awards. Glee is nominated for "Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series". They are up against Modern Family, 30 Rock, The Office, and Curb Your Enthusiasm.
I am an awards show junkie and can't wait to see my favorite cast out on that red carpet once again. E! will be doing red carpet coverage beginning at 6 PM eastern. I think they've got a great shot since it seems that everyone in Hollywood is a self-professed Gleek.
The SAG Awards, while not the biggest awards show, is one of the most respected by the actors because the awards are literally given by their peers. The Screen Actors Guild is comprised of every actor that has ever earned a SAG card and are formed in to committees that cast their vote in the respective categories.
Tell me, do you think they'll win it?

Will Making Out with the Competition
Glee has wasted no time in getting Idina Menzel into the thick of the action.
The Tony Award winner has joined the show's cast for the rest of the season, and co-creator Brad Falchuk says she fit right in when she showed up on set earlier this month.
"I already directed her in the first episode," Falchuk said earlier this week during a visit to the "Glee" set. "She did two small scenes with Matt [Morrison], so we've started kind of easing her into it. She was great. I don't come from a musical background so I wasn't that familiar with her. ... She was fun to work with, fun to direct."
But really? Easing her in? The way Falchuk describes Menzel's first work on the show, that's not what it sounds like: "She and Matt had an immediate chemistry. ... Her first scene -- literally it was 'Welcome aboard,' and they had a big makeout scene. So it was interesting for her. It was like, welcome to the show."
A makeout scene featuring the leaders of New Directions and Vocal Adrenaline. Just let that roll around in your head until "Glee" returns on April 13.

I'm not sure how I feel about this little set up you guys! Hopefully it is just a momentary lapse in judgment for Mr. Schuester and he rushes back in to Emma's arms. But Ryan Murphy is a genius so I trust him completely. How do you guys feel about this??

Glee Tour Announcement Coming Soon
Lea Michele announced today via Twitter that we would be receiving some information at the end of the month regarding a Glee tour! (It was also announced yesterday by Ryan Murphy at a press conference: "Ryan Murphy says the cast will be doing a tour after they finish filming. Announcement coming in a few weeks. - Natalie Abrams (TVGUIDE)")
I know that I will most definitely have to attend this, so it better come to Virginia (or DC)! Maybe GCO will organize some kind of tour meet-up. Would anyone be interested in that? Leave your thoughts in the comments!

Dianna Agron in Women's Health Magazine
Gorgeous Glee Gal Dianna Agron recently sat down with Women's Health Magazine and gave a little insight in to her dreams and how they are all coming true!
Dianna Agron always knew she wanted to be in showbiz. The San Francisco native even scrapped college plans to move to Los Angeles and chase down her dream. But when she faced her potential big break—a starring role on Fox's musical sensation, Glee—she almost didn't get out of the car to attend the audition. "I was nervous out of my mind," recalls the 23-year-old. "I was sitting in the parking lot thinking, Are you going to do this or are you going to walk away?"
She took a deep breath, walked in, and nailed it, nabbing the role of the pseudo-virtuous cheerleader Quinn Fabray. Since that day, Dianna has written and sold a screenplay, and performed the National Anthem at game three of the World Series. Listen in as this positive-thinking powerhouse offers advice on how to conquer fear, pick yourself up after setbacks, and grab on to your goals.
Pursue your passion. "I grew up loving films like Funny Face and Singin' in the Rain. Finding out that I could incorporate acting, singing, and dancing [in a job] was novel to me as a kid. I did musical theater throughout school, and that paved the way. I have friends who went to college for one major and haven't applied it, and others who started at jobs that didn't pan out and had to change course. I've learned that the key [to success] is if you can go to work happy. And if it's not the best fit, you can always change direction."
Leave your comfort zone. "Once a month, try something you don't think you'd be good at. You can find such happy surprises. Recently, I got the confidence to write a screenplay—a story about a guy who can't say 'I love you'—and it's been optioned!"
Make "No guts, no glory" your mantra. "The challenge is getting off your couch and doing it, making the conscious decision to put your [ideas] into motion. I recently had to record myself for an audition. That's hard, because you have to get somebody to read [lines] with you, and you don't want to [impose on] a friend, so I almost didn't do it. Then I thought, You like this project. Just get it done! So I went over to my manager's office and asked somebody to help me. Now I'm in the running for this job! You can always find a reason not to try. But unless you become fully invested, you'll never know what could happen."
Build a cheering section. "I didn't take the typical path and go to college after high school. Instead, I saved up money from teaching dance classes and moved to L.A. But my family was so supportive—I never felt pressure from them. It's crucial to find a support system, even if it's not your family. My two best friends—Millie and Marisa—are my rocks. We challenge each other. If there's a goal I want to accomplish, Marisa will ask, 'Did you call that person?' When that loving concern comes from somebody you trust, it's amazing how much you can accomplish."
Learn to deal with disappointment. "Having a dance background, I became used to rejection at an early age. Dance is very competitive, especially for a sensitive person like me. But I realized it's better not to take it so seriously. If you beat yourself up, it's hard to keep going."
Celebrate small successes. "My goal has always been not to look forward to the next thing, but to relish and celebrate the successes I have at the moment. Whether it's landing a part in a student film or having a good day in acting class, I never discredit anything. I believe in rewarding yourself too. With every job I've gotten, I've bought myself something. When Glee was picked up, I rented a piano for the year. For smaller victories, I'll go to dinner with a friend, or go for a walk and think about it all. It's important to say to yourself, Today was a good day."

Glee News, Guest Stars, and More
There has been plenty of buzz around Glee the last few days and I'm sure you have all heard most of this news but just in case you didn't here is some of the dirt!
The highly anticipated Madonna episode is being shot as we speak. The crew was hard at work on it the day after their big win at the Golden Globes. The episode will be entitled "The Power of Madonna" which is very appropriate. We already know most of the songs but things are leaking in terms of who is singing what.
Sue Sylvester will be singing Vogue in a dream sequence type of scene and get this...she will be wearing the infamous cone bra a la Madonna!! Oh and Kurt & Mercedes are in on this song too! I'm telling you, this episode just gets better and better.
"Like a Virgin" is also one of Madonna's classics featured on the episode and will be performed by several cast members including; Lea Michele, Jon Groff, Cory Monteith, Naya Rivera, Jayma Mays, and Matthew Morrison. All I know of this sequence is that Jayma Mays will dress provocatively and sing with the others in a sequence opposite Matt Morrison. All Jayma would say is that her song is "very appropriate for my character" and she would not be at all surprised if her character does indeed turn out to be a virgin. "If they said my character's a virgin I wouldn't be surprised", Jayma said. (source)
The other news is that there has been an explosion of guest stars. Jennifer Lopez is in talks to play a lunch lady, Neil Patrick Harris is working with CBS to be allowed to guest star, Olivia Newton-John is on board and will be performing "Let's Get Physical" with Jane Lynch. Idina Menzel is confirmed and will be appearing in all 9 of the remaining episodes. Kristin Chenoweth is on board for at least one more episode in the back 9, maybe even more.
Looking ahead to season two, Ryan Murphy revealed that 2 of the 3 people for whom they are holding an open casting call will be a boyfriend for Kurt and someone to pose major competition to Rachel. I am so excited for Kurt to get a boyfriend and even more excited that the relationship will not be a secret and they will be "out, proud, and glamorous". (source)
Let's just say that April can not come soon enough!!

Last of the Golden Globes Posts, I promise
A couple more video snipits from backstage with the cast of Glee at the Golden Globes!
And go here to hear another and watch my girl Jayma Mays tell people to "Step Off!" Love her.
I hope they didn't party too hard last night, otherwise they are going to be hurting today. They are set to start shooting the much anticipated Madonna episode TODAY and all through this week. If there is a Glee God maybe we'll get some promos in the next few weeks. Maybe?

My Thoughts on the Golden Globes
I'm sure you're all sick of hearing from me by now (especially if you follow me on Twitter)...too bad. You all know how excited I was for the Golden Globes tonight. I thought for sure that Glee would win at least 2 of it's 4 nominations but the night started to turn sour for me pretty quick.
First, Lea lost. Then Matt. Then...JANE! I was floored by Jane's loss. Absolutely floored. My whole body was shaking with anger when I heard that she did not win it. I actually think I may have blacked out.
But at least the Hollywood Foreign Press (barely) redeemed themselves when it was announced that Glee had indeed won for best comedy. My heart was bursting with...um...glee to see the cast up on stage and so very happy. They deserved it 1000000000 per cent!! How cute were they jumping up and down and lovin' on each other?
So, if any of you wonderful members of the Glee cast read this site (and I hope you do), a very hearty congratulations on a much deserved win tonight. You fill our lives with joy and happiness and I think I speak for everyone here at GleeClubOnline when I say that we ADORE you and ADORE the show.
Thank you for bringing us such GLEE!!!
