Fear and Loathing at McKinley
…and once again Glee surprised me by making me like what I thought I wouldn’t like:
I watched the original Rocky Horror Picture Show before this episode so I would be able to tell the differences and similarities and I must say, I didn’t like it very much. It was too crazy, kind of overacted and strange and this didn’t make the songs better for me, either. So I hoped the Glee version would be better as they’ve never let me down so far...

Today, Everyone Is In the "Special Education" Class
The New Directions are finally going to Sectionals! And everyone has gone completely off their rockers. The special education the Glee Clubbers are receiving in this episode is much less about education and much more about how we are each individually unique and special with our own gifts and talents and strengths and weaknesses, and when we use our gifts for the benefit of the group we become spectacular enough to...tie the competition.

Lea Michele Doesn't Want to Get Replaced in 2012!
When Ryan Murphy announced that the kid's of New Directions would be getting replaced/graduating in 2012, Lea was having none of that nonsense! She insists she'll still be on the show.
This is what the head diva had to say:
"Maybe I would come back as a teacher on Glee."
Honestly, can you even begin to imagine Glee without

Character Profile: Santana Lopez
Name: Santana LopezAge: 16
Played By: Naya Rivera
Bio: This Latin cheerleader let's nothing get in her way. Her popularity is high and she wants nothing to stop that. Santana is kind of a 'bitch' but she means well. Best friends with Brittany, the two are hardly ever seen without each other. Santana has had sexual relationships with many guys and even Brittany. She has an on/off relationship with Puck but still gets jealous when ever he is seen dating other girls. Her crush on Finn started after Sue Sylvester said the Cheerios should date younger men. She convinces Finn to lose his virginity to her and has had her eye on him ever since. There is no doubt that her favorite past time is to make fun of people, especially Kurt, and of course Rachel, whom she commonly refers to as a 'dwarf.' Her favorite place is evident to be 'Breadstix' the local restaurant. She also has a budding friendship with Mercedes as the both are 'The Beast Singers In The Entire School.'
Character Profile: Finn Hudson
Name: Finn HudsonAge: 16
Played By: Cory Monteith
Family: Mother (Carole), Biological Father (deceased), Step-Father(Burt), Step-Brother (Kurt)
Bio: Finn, in the beginning is a typical, clichéd jock. He is the quarterback of the Mckinley High Titans which makes him teen royalty, especially since he was dating the school's head cheerleader, Quinn Fabray. But he soon is forced by Mr. Schue to join glee club. Although at first he was hesitant, Finn soon enjoys being a part of a club that allows him to express his self and becomes a full term member. Alas, it doesn't sit well with the other Jocks and especially not Quinn. When Finn first finds out about Quinn's pregnancy, he is led to believe he is the father. Rachel comes to be a really big love interest for Finn.
Sneak Peek: Kurt & Blaine Sing "Baby, It's Cold Outside"
So far this holiday season I have refused to listen to any Christmas music or do anything Christmas-related. I'm not sure why, but I think that I might have to let go of my grinch-y attitude soon so that I can watch this video (and next week's episode!!)
PS - Who thinks that Blaine, aka Darren Criss, is SUPER cute and really wants him to get together with Kurt? This Girl.

Glee Cast to be Replaced in 2012
![]() |
| Class of 2012 |
How are the wonderful GCO readers doing? I was having a decent day until I found out that the Glee cast we all know and love will be getting REPLACED in 2012. Honestly, that ruined my day.
The creative genius behind Glee, Ryan Murphy, has been getting bombarded with questions of what's going to happen to the current Glee Club at William McKinley High and here's what he had to say:
"Every year we’re going to populate a new group. There's nothing more depressing than a high schooler with a bald spot. I think you have to be true to the fact that here is a group of people who come and go in these teachers' lives – they graduate and they're gone. When some of them finish their run at high school it will be very teary episodes. For me it will be particularly tough but a new crop (of actors) will come in. I was concerned about that (whether to have characters graduate and leave the show) because those kids caught on so quickly – but I think one of the things I'm very happy we’ve been able to do this years is we’ve brought in new characters. I think if you can keep regenerating – and I didn’t think we could – I didn’t know if people would want those characters (like Sam) but they do."

Music From: Special Education
Since I have absolutely nothing to do at work right now, I've decided to create a new post series. This series will feature each song from each episode, videos of the songs being performed, and links to download/buy them! (If the videos don't work, don't yell at me. I'm sure y'all know how crazy YouTube can be with their copyright issues!)
We'll start with last night's episode (and, hopefully, at some point go back and do this for all of the episodes during the winter hiatus)!

Here are the best quotes of the episode (in no particular order)!Kurt: "My Power Rangers got married and divorced in so many combinations they were like Fleetwood Mac."
Doris Sylvester: "Marcia, I'll bet people say you look mannish but you know something, I think it's perfectly alright for a woman to be handsome."
Doris to Sue: "She's a perfectly okay child. She'll grow into her looks and you know what, I believe you still might."
Brittany to Tina about Artie: "When you guys fooled around would he just sorta lay there?"
Sue: "By the power invested in me by a website, I now pronounce you Sue and Sue. You may now kiss yourself."

Introducing for the First Time..."Furt"!
In this beautifully crafted episode that still had nothing to do with the Glee Club's journey to Sectionals and eventually Regionals (or does it? More coming on this thought) we finally see clearly what Ryan Murphy has been doing this whole season: teaching us about acceptance. Kurt is the obvious one in need of acceptance in this episode and everyone else plays supporting roles but we see that Finn needs acceptance, Sam needs acceptance, Karofsky needs acceptance, Santana needs acceptance, and even Sue Sylvester needs acceptance. And maybe, just maybe, since we've already seen the Glee Club underdogs' journey from club beginnings to a group of people ready to band together and compete, acceptance is just what the Glee Club needs to truly band together in a way that will solidify them as performers allowing them to crush all competition in their path. At least we hope this is all still about the Glee Club as performers in the end.

Glee-Cap: November
Hey Gleeks! How was your Thanksgiving? Mine was fantastic! Hope everyone had a fun and safe one!
-Harry Shum Jr will now be a series regular for season 3! Even though the other Asian has been in almost every episode with the rest of the Glee Club, he will now be considered part of the main cast. Naya Rivera and Heather Morris had similar transitions for season 2. More dancing by the always amazing Mike Chang? Yes, please!
-Katie Couric might be guest starring on Glee! Rumors have it that she'll be playing, well, herself in an episode where she'll be making cameo in the shows post-Super Bowl episode. Katie has also stated that she's a huge fan of the show and a self proclaimed "Gleek" so hopefully everything will work out for her. She might be sharing screen time with Jane Lynch when Sue's Cheerios go to the regional cheerleading championship.
Since this amazing website is up and running again, we sadly have missed some major news, especially some from this month so I'm doing a Glee-cap: November!
Here's watcha missed:

Glee Cast Members Respond to Lohan Controversy
Hey there, Gleeks! Catherine here and I just want to ask: Who's excited for Glee tonight?!?! I am! I can not wait!
Okay, I'm done gushing...moving on to another topic.
Remember a few days ago when I posted that Dina Lohan was "upset" about Glee making fun of her daughter, Lindsay Lohan, for being in rehab so many times in the episode "The Substitute?" Well I just recently got news that a few cast members of Glee spoke out in defense for the show and Gwyneth Paltrow.
At the American Music Awards, PopSugar Rush caught up with Darren Criss and asked him his opinion on the "Lindsay Controversy" and this is what he had to say:

To Believe or Not To Believe in "Grilled Cheesus"
One has to wonder the motivation for this episode. Religion, like politics, is a very heated and controversial subject, and one has to wonder what Ryan Murphy's true motivations in bringing this subject so heavily into light in a high school setting are. That aside, this episode balances pro-religion and anti-religion viewpoints beautifully--it never takes a side and it never even subtly proposes one as better than another. In fact, this episode perhaps balanced this topic better than ever done before through Kurt who is expressly atheist who tells his unconscious father that he should have accepted the prayers of the other Glee Clubbers because they were only trying to support him and love him the best they know how, and Kurt says his faith is love.

Who is Lea Michele's Boyfriend?
To answer every one's question: Theo Stockman.
Theo Stockman has been on the Broadway circuit for a while now. He also appeared in the Tony Award-winning revival production of "Hair" with character parts ranging from 'Memeber of the Tribe' to 'Hubert' and 'Dad'-Understudy.
Stockman graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2007 with a BFA and Dj's around New York under the name 'DJ Theocracy.'
You've also seen him on ABC's "Cupid" and NBC's "30 Rock."
Before Broadway, Stockman worked for an advertising agency.
Not bad, Lea! However, when is he going to appear on Glee? If he does, will we have a Finn-Rachel-Theo love triangle? That's what we ALL want to know!
When asked about her long-distance relationship, Lea Michele said that she was "happy" and explained what kind of girl she is:

For those of you who know your musical theatre news and gossip, then you know he's now appearing in Green Day's musical baby "American Idiot."
“The gig was to dress up in togas, and sell Greek yogurt, There was a script about yogurt and we were going to travel to a yogurt convention — it was pretty ridiculous, but paid.”
Not bad, Lea! However, when is he going to appear on Glee? If he does, will we have a Finn-Rachel-Theo love triangle? That's what we ALL want to know!"I'm a relationship girl, I would rather be long-distance with him than not have a relationship at all."

Family: Mother and Father (are known)
Bio: At first, Tina was a shy girl with a stutter. Only expressing who she really was through her 'gothic' sense of style. But soon, we discover why she has a stutter, revealing to Artie she had faked her stutter earlier in her schooling life because she was too scared to do a speech in front of her class.

'All I want is a normal salad that DOESN'T HAVE CHICKEN FEET IN IT!' - (Season 2, Episode 4, Duets)
Courage!
This was the episode's magic word. Whether it was Kurt being courageous enough to confront his bully Karofsky, Will bringing himself to explain Beiste the truth about the boys' - and Tina's! - strange behavior, or Puck confessing that he wasn't the strong guy at juvie but the one that got beaten up. Also, Beiste needed the guts to confess the fact that she had never been kissed to Will, and Artie had to struggle with courage when everybody left Breadstix without paying and it was up to him to decide upon a clean conscience or a cool exit.

The entire Glee Club (including Darren Criss) will be going across the Atlantic to perform musical numbers like "Empire State of Mind,” “Toxic, “ “My Life Would Suck Without You,” “Don’t Stop Believin," and many more.
Ryan Murphy, the creative genius behind the Glee phenomenon, had this to say:
The Glee community amazes me! I'm SOOO happy for my U.K counter-part's but I am a tad bit jealous because I want to go to the Glee concert as well....I'm sure our American readers are saying the same thing. Well Gleek-Americans, you too, can rejoice! When Murphy was asked about an American tour, he continued:
I don't care what anyone says, I'm taking that for a big "YES" for the American tour!
Just like last year with the Glee Live! In Concert, American Express cardholder's get first dibs on tickets. It starts on November 22 while general public ticket sales on November 26.
To get your tickets go to TicketMaster.com or call (800) 745-3000

If they don't say anything about the American tour soon---then you best believe I'm heading to the U.K!
Also, I went to the Glee tour last year and got VIP tickets with I Love All Access. The were pretty pricey but SO well worth it! I HIGHLY recommend them!

Will Blaine and Kurt Share a Kiss?
Sadly Gleeks, not yet.
Well according to Chris Colfer, at least.
At the GQ Men of the Year Party, Colfer was asked when his character will get to have a smooch with Darren Criss. He continued with saying:
Colfer also revealed that he would love to have Julie Andrews play his grandmother in a guest starring role.
I don't know about you, but I can totally see this happening! Fingers crossed!
Also, Colfer kept quiet about telling too much about Darren Criss' next genius showcase song, but did drop hints by describing it as "being on the radio quite a bit" and "choo-choo."
I'm taking a lucky guess, but I'm thinking it's Train's "Hey, Soul Sister."
Oh, I can not wait to hear this!

"I don't know, but I think maybe one gay kiss is enough for at least these 10 episodes. Maybe another one in the back nine wouldn't hurt."I think it's safe to say that there will be one, though! Hopefully never again with Dave Karofsky.

To Be Continued?
Hi Gleeks, I'm Steph, another brand new writer who is raring to go on this amazing Glee site. My first post is about a big debacle over Glee's continuity. As hard as it is to say such things about a show that has changed not only mine but many lives, it's not hard to identify one of the major issues for Season Two. Many have blamed Ryan Murphy, others just confused, why is each episode literally staring off on a 'new topic?' I personally have noticed this and quite frankly am confused.
What happened when Puck told Quinn he loved her? Questions like this have circled social networking sites, such as Tumblr and has even turned people off the show..
So I thought up a 'glist' of continuity errors from both Season One and Two.
* Santana and Brittany's 'fight' in Duets
* Puck's feelings for Quinn
* Did Finn's mum kick Quinn out?
* Will's office changes..
* Rachel's Myspace schedule
Are there any others? Please, go ahead and write your thoughts in the comment box. :)

Chris Colfer was "Shocked"
Hey there Gleeks!
On Monday night, GQ threw a "Men of the Year Party" and first of all, I want to know where my invitation went!
Anyway, among the guests were Taylor Lautner, James Franco, and of course the always lovable Chris Colfer.
When asked what his reaction was of the first gay Glee kiss seen around the world, he had this to say:
He also revealed that he will be performing the holiday hit, "Baby, It's Cold Outside" with Darren Criss for the upcoming much anticipated Glee Christmas episode!
Check it out!

Anyway, those of you who watched Glee the other night know that when Holly Holiday (Gwyneth Paltrow) was substitute teaching the Spanish class, she began asking questions about Lindsay Lohan in Spanish to connect with the class.
She asked:
Do you think the Glee team was out of line with the jokes? Did you consider it "tasteless"?
I don't know about you, but I thought the jokes were harmless and if a certain somebody, cough, Lindsay Lohan, cough, doesn't want people saying "tasteless" jokes about her, then maybe she shouldn't be putting herself in those situations.

She asked:
"Lindsay Lohan is totally crazy, right?…How many times has Lindsay Lohan been to rehab?"Well according to PerezHilton.com, the Lohans thought the joke was "tasteless" and Dina Lohan apparently responded with saying "shame on them."

Reality Comes Back to Life
Hey there, fellow Gleeks!
Catherine here and I'm one of the new writers for Glee Club Online and I'm so thrilled to be apart of this amazing website! I just hope you all like me!
This is probably how Holly Holiday felt like in last night's Glee episode when she was introducing herself to the Glee club!
If you're looking for episode summaries, then don't look for me! I love Glee too much to summarize/critique it so I'm just going to be bringing you the latest Glee gossip and news!
For my first entry, I'm going to give you news on Glee auditions for the reality show! If you remember last January, on Fox.com, they had announced a open casting call for talented people between the ages of
16-26 to audition on Myspace.com for a chance to be a character on the show.
Let the rumor mill begin! Everyone except the Glee team were talking and rambling about the character's they were casting and then some news of a reality show started swirling. In a Oprah behind-the-scenes interview with Ryan Murphy (when the Glee club was on her show) he did say he would be bringing in new characters. He was probably referencing to the characters of Sunshine and Blaine.
Skip ahead to April when they started submitting auditions over Myspace.com. If you're anything like me, then you auditioned and embarrassed yourself pretty bad. I know I did! Actually, let's pretend I didn't audition, okay? Yes, it was that bad.
Anyways, move on to summer... when we who auditioned, don't hear anything until July when Ry Murphs (Ryan Murphy) sends us a message over Myspace telling us "Don't Stop Believing"-cute right?
After that, all the commotion died when Fox announced that they would be cancelling the Glee Reality Show competition to find the next Glee star. Let me just ask, I thought I was auditioning for the actual show, Glee! Not a "Grease You're the One that I Want" rip-off. So then with that, all my hopes died as well.
Now yesterday though I found out that the Oxygen Channel is picking up the Glee Reality Show and are now looking for people 18+ to audition. If you fit the requirements of :
Then YOU should audition! However, please know that this is for the reality show! Obviously, me not being too bright, thought this was for the actual Glee show and filled out a pre-registration. I guess I got too excited or something. Anyway, Click Here to go to GleeCasting.com to fill it out!
Also you have to be in...
Song List:
Also those who auditioned online will FINALLY get notifications on Friday, November 19, 2010.
Also if you don't make it through to the next phase of the Glee auditions for your Myspace one, you can always re-audition in person for the announced dates! No word on how they're are planning this Glee Reality Show, but I'm assuming it's going to be good.
Break-a-leg to those who audition! I'm still debating to go and actually audition but I will probably be in Chicago and if you go, let me know so I can get an exclusive interview with a reader who may just be the next big Glee star!
For anymore info please, go to Gleecasting.com!
This is my first blog for this site, take it easy on me! Hope you enjoyed it!

Hate On Me: Why Do Some People Complain So Much About Glee?
I actually didn’t get to see last night’s Britney Spears episode until about 10:00 because of a previous engagement. But it was worth the wait, and I loved every minute.
However, I was surprised later when I went online and saw that a good majority of viewers didn't like the episode.
I’m not trying to tell anyone what to think about “Britney/Brittany”, but I certainly don’t think it deserved all the hate it got.
I laughed out loud during several parts of the episode, including Brittany revealing her trauma of being compared to Britney Spears because her name was “Brittany S. Pearce”. I also enjoyed Brittany’s determination to become the most talented member of the Glee Club and the assembly scenes with the “sex riot”.
I didn't even mind the recreation of the music videos. I grew up in the 90s and remember watching Britney videos, especially Baby One More Time, so seeing those with the Glee characters brought back memories of when I was younger.
When I’m not watching Glee, I do enjoy my share of serious shows that provoke discussion. I’ll check out episodes of “Law and Order: SVU” and I was a pretty big fan of “ER” for several seasons.
One of the reasons I love Glee is because it is a good chance to escape from reality. I have several of my own problems that I deal with on a daily basis. But when Tuesday night rolls around, I can’t wait to sit on the couch and watch a new episode of one of my favorite shows.
Why do some people expect every show to be dead serious and be totally perfect in plot execution or character development? Why can’t a show ever just be FUN? Why does every show have to be about how "intelligent" it is or whether or not it has some big mystery to follow?
If people are going to watch Glee, they should expect that they aren’t going to get the realism and outstanding plot development that they would get watching other shows on TV.
If someone can’t understand this, then I think they should stop watching the show. If they expect the same standard that a show like “Law and Order” would present, perhaps Glee isn’t the show for them.
And that’s fine. We all have different tastes, and the world would be boring if everyone liked the same things.
I’m not saying that every Glee episode is outstanding. It’s just that in my opinion, the good outweighs the not-so-good.
But if you’re just going to complain about the show, isn’t it better to not watch anymore than it is to continue watching and then moan about it every week?
However, if you are going to continue to watch Glee, just appreciate it for what it is. It's a great musical comedy that doesn't always make sense, but it's a great way to wind down and discover how to enjoy life again.

Was Rachel Out of Line in "Audition"?
As Ashley mentioned in one of yesterday’s entries, Glee introduced a new character named Sunshine Corazon, a foreign exchange student from the Philippines.I was excited when Sunshine was introduced to us, especially after she performed “Listen” for the Glee club. I thought she could definitely make New Directions stronger, plus she has a down-to-earth personality that would be attractive to the viewing audience and the club.
Unfortunately, Sunshine was chased away from New Directions thanks to Rachel. Well, at least in my opinion it was Rachel’s fault.
Rachel initially started off being nice to Sunshine and telling her about auditions. However, she got rude quickly, speaking to Sunshine like she was a five-year-old, even after Sunshine said she understood English.
Rachel didn’t even listen to what Sunshine told her. She continued to be condescending, speaking loudly and slowly, and of course, she made Glee club all about her. I mean, who wouldn’t be excited to be a constant backup to Rachel? Right…?
Later in the episode, Rachel sent Sunshine to a crackhouse, where Sunshine had her sheet music stolen by some of the residents. Although Rachel said she would pay for new music, it was a lost cause at that point. Sunshine ended up leaving to join Vocal Adrenaline.
I didn’t really have a problem with Rachel last year, but she has started off season 2 as my new least favorite character.
It is clear she has not learned from last season where she alienated her fellow Glee club members and friends because she wanted to be the star all the time. She didn’t want other members to have a say in how the club went and just wanted to do things her way. She constantly felt hurt and betrayed by her fellow members.
So what does she do? Returns to school and acts THE EXACT SAME WAY that was getting her in trouble last year.
At this point, I wonder if Rachel will ever learn. By now, she is certainly old enough to understand that Glee cannot always be all about her. In real life, even the most talented actors and singers have to stay sharp and lose awards and starring roles to others. They can’t throw a tantrum and sabotage their fellow celebrities every time something doesn’t go their way. They are expected to deal with disappointment, so why shouldn't Rachel do the same?
If Rachel wants to go on to be a star, she is going to have to be more humble. In the professional world, she will lose solos and lead roles more often than she thinks. It is best for her to learn to deal with that now. If she goes into the Hollywood or Broadway world acting like she did towards Sunshine, no one will want to work with her.
Rachel does not seem to have learned from the anger others rightfully directed at her in the past. She was definitely out of line when it came to Sunshine. The right thing for her to do would have been to help Sunshine adjust to her new life and welcome her into the Glee club.
I realize that may have been some boring television if Rachel were just thrilled to have Sunshine. But was it really necessary to have her act like a complete bitch?
In my opinion, Rachel was definitely out of line in “Audition”. She needs to redeem herself starting now and needs to be willing to give as much as she takes.
What do you think? Was Rachel over the top or was her treatment of Sunshine not that bad?
Let me know your thoughts in the comments section.

The New Characters of Season Two
Last night's season premiere of Glee introduced us to the following three new characters:
Sunshine Corazon (played by Charice Pempengco) is a foreign exchange student. She originally wants to be a member of New Directions but Rachel, worried about Sunshine taking her spotlight, scares her off into joining rival glee club, Vocal Adrenaline. I enjoyed seeing Rachel and Sunshine go back and forth singing with their version of "Telephone" by Lady GaGa, and I look forward to seeing more battles between the two of them throughout the season!
Sam Evans (played by Chord Overstreet) is a transfer student who just wants to be accepted by his classmates. Finn convinces Sam to try out for the glee club, but changes his mind after witnessing Finn get kicked off the football team. Sam ends up making the football team, replacing Finn as the quarterback. Now we have a rival for Finn, and potentially a new love interest for Kurt? That's the rumor, so we'll have to wait and see what happens with that. Could that "How many balls can you fit in your mouth?" joke have been a hint? Dun dun dun...
Last, but not least, we have a new football coach! Shannon Beiste (played by Dot Jones) starts off the school year by taking away some of the budget funds from Sue and Will. Sue and Will are simply not cool with that, so they decide to team up against Coach Beiste to "bring her down". Beiste has a very difficult time being accepted as a female football coach. Even though she acts tough to everyone, she's actually quite sensitive, and wants to be liked. I see her and Will becoming close friends.. maybe they can bring SUE down!
What did y'all think? Let us know in the comments. Personally, I thought the jerky arm movements that Sunshine kept making while she was singing "Listen" were a little annoying. She has a great voice though! I *do* hope that Sam turns out to be gay (because he's too pretty not to be), and I am super excited to see future interactions between Coach Beiste and Coach Sylvester. Can't wait until next week's BRITNEY EPISODE!!

And I Say Hello...
Hello, Gleeks! I’m so excited to be here on Glee Club Online! After a successful audition for the role of writer, I’d like to tell you a little about myself. My name is Ali, and I am looking to begin a career as a writer, so I figured I should gain experience with a blog about one of my favorite shows. I have lived in the Keystone State of Pennsylvania my whole life. You probably know this, but Pennsylvania borders Ohio, so I’m not a very long distance from the world of New Directions.
I have almost every song from Glee on my IPod, and I just kicked off season two by downloading everything from tonight’s season premiere. I have season 1 on DVD, own two of the Glee t-shirts from Macy’s, have a necklace and a bracelet from the Claire’s line, and intend to buy the 2011 calendar.
I became a fan of the show when I saw a preview for the pilot. I think I was watching “So You Think You Can Dance?” at the time. When I saw the kids singing “Don’t Stop Believing”, I couldn’t wait to check it out. Although I enjoyed the pilot, I wasn’t sure I would become a diehard Gleek. But here I am!
It is really hard for me to pick one favorite song, since I could play them all on repeat and never get bored with them. But if I had to pick one, I would go with “Ice Ice Baby”. I associated Vanilla Ice’s original version with one of my favorite movies, 13 Going on 30, so the song has stuck with me since I first saw that movie. I was ecstatic when New Directions did it on the show.
Just like I can’t pick one favorite song, it’s also hard to pick one favorite character. However, I have to say I enjoy Brittany the most. She reminds me of Karen from Mean Girls, who I also loved. Brittany hangs out with the “mean girls” (Quinn and Santana), but she is too spaced out to be mean. She has some great lines just like Karen. My favorite Brittany line is “I bet the duck is in the hat.”
Although I love Brittany, my favorite Glee quote comes from Finn in the episode “Preggers”:
“I borrowed this book from the library. Do you know you can just, borrow books from there? All of them! Except the encyclopedias.”
When I am not watching Glee, I enjoy watching hockey (Pittsburgh Penguins) and baseball (New York Yankees). I also love going ice skating, shopping, and bowling.
Well, I hope you enjoy everything I am going to write for you. This week, watch here for my review of the Glee clothing line at Macy’s. I am also thinking of doing an awards segment for each new episode where I give out awards for characters and plotlines.
If you have any ideas for what you want me to write about, just drop me a comment in the comments section. I am open to any and all suggestions!

I'm Getting a Bad Reputation
The irony is not lost on me that my previous review earned me a "bad reputation" with the GCO fans. I feel a little bit like poor Kurt Hummel, wanting so much to be viewed as this dangerously crazy (in a good way) lady, who is cool and baaaad at the same time. And I'm just not. I'm a 30-year-old mom of 1, with a decent job, good credit, and a desire to please everyone. I'm about as menacing as the Muppet babies.
So, it may come as no shock that after my requisite third watching of "Bad Reputation", I am still MADLY in love with this episode.
This episode brought back the glee to me. Usually, when I watch an episode, I find myself grinning from ear to ear from start to finish. This episode was the first since the big break that I have found myself outwardly laughing! It was funny, it was sweet, it had drama (the good kind). It felt balanced, well-written, and the music was fantastic.
Here are my top 5 favorite parts of the episode (in no particular order):

Epic Quotes: The Brittany Edition
When Glee came back a few weeks ago, I was reminded of just how hilarious everything that comes out of Brittany's mouth is. So, I decided to make a list of all of my favorite quotes from her. It will be an ongoing list, and fan input via comment or e-mail is highly encouraged and welcome! If enough people participate and like this idea, we will do more "Epic Quotes" lists for some of the other Glee characters in the future.
- "Did you know that dolphins are just gay sharks?"
- "When I pulled my hamstring, I went to a misogynist."
- "I think my cat's been reading my diary."
- "I find recipes confusing."
- "A male duck." (when asked what a ballad was)

Open Letter to Ryan Murphy on "Home"
First let me say that I know you are a big TV/film wizard. I know that you have better things to do than listen to silly fans. But, I'm gonna say it anyway, 'cause thats how I roll.
I watched "Home" three times. The first time, I bawled my eyes out. The second time, I merely enjoyed it. And the third time, I was so bored, I surfed the internet for gardening tips and Weight Watchers recipes. I realize that a shift in tone is often needed to keep a show alive. And I appreciated this sudden dive into Depressing City. I liked how you focused on Kurt and Mercedes' inner struggles. And while I wasn't a huge fan of the musical selections, I appreciated the way they embraced the storyline.
And, I was actually really excited that Rachel didn't play a huge role in this episode. She has become annoying as of late, and I was glad I only had to hear one ridiculous line from her.
But I say this with love, Ryan, I really do -- for the love of everything that is holy, would you PLEASE stop letting your music supervisor RUIN a good thing?

Madonna to the Teenth Power
I had high hopes for the latest episode from the brains of Ryan Murphy, entitled "The Power of Madonna." After being disappointed by "Hello," I was looking forward to this mammoth episode. Ten Madonna songs in one hour? And they said it couldn't be done!
But, it still wasn't satisfying. It was a one-off episode--not really furthering the story lines to which I have been waiting FOUR MONTHS to find out the resolutions. Are Puck and Quinn together? How is Terri feeling about this whole divorce thing? Where is Quinn living? What happened to Sue in Boca? I'm just not getting any backstory here, only...well...front-story.

Hello Glee, It’s Been So Long
By Sarina C.
It felt like I had been waiting forever for Glee to come back. Low and behold, it finally returned! I was kind of disappointed in this episode. Maybe it was because it’s just starting out and the drama isn’t really juicy yet, or because the songs weren’t really jammin’ as usual.
First of all, why are Finn and Rachel together…already? They didn’t waste any time at all. I can see Puck and Quinn being together so fast. He needs a girl like her to keep his butt in check too. And, WHAT is with Will? He left Terri what, five minutes ago and he’s already smackin’ lips with TWO other women? Can you say double rebound? It was so wrong of him to make his and Emma’s “song” the same as him and his wife’s prom song. Terri may have hurt him and he may be angry with her, but subconsciously, he’s still in love with her.
It felt like I had been waiting forever for Glee to come back. Low and behold, it finally returned! I was kind of disappointed in this episode. Maybe it was because it’s just starting out and the drama isn’t really juicy yet, or because the songs weren’t really jammin’ as usual.

Finnerri? (Possible Spoiler)
So, I'm sorry I haven't posted my review of the first episode. I went on vacation and arrived home on April 13. At 7pm. At an airport 3 hours away from my house. So yeah, I was tired when I watched Glee. And to tell you the truth, I wasn't all that impressed. I know, I know, shoot me now.
But after all of the hype, leaked info and video clips, I was expecting something more magical. Something to bring a smile to my face. And while Jane Lynch's Vogue, most of Brittany's lines, and certain key moments in the Wemma storyline did provide general merriment, there were stagnant places, stale dialogue, and only so-so musical arrangements that didn't really do it for me. Sorry. I had to say it.
So rather than bringing you down, making you hate me more, I thought I would post this little interesting tidbit from Ausiello over at EW:

Hello,

Matthew is allergic to cats.
He knows how to breakdance and considers that one of his special skills.
Matthew's favorite TV show is 24.
His favorite board game is Cranium.
Before Matthew joined the cast of "Footloose" on Broadway, he worked at the Gap in New York City.
Matthew attended dance schools for Ballet, Tap, and Jazz and he used to breakdance.
Matthew enjoys extreme sports such as skydiving and boxing. He also enjoys reading and watching movies.
His nickname is Matty Fresh.
(About being in boyband, LMNT) "When I was in that group, I just knew it wasn't for me. Every time I went out and we performed in front of screaming girls, I felt...I felt kind of embarrassed in a way. And that's the worst feeling to have in the industry. That's no discredit to them or anything!"
(On desired roles) "I've always wanted to be the villain. I usually don't get that opportunity, because I have a certain look that labels me as the "heartthrob" or whatever. I think that would be really cool to play a villain.
(On growing up) "Growing up I always wanted to be a professional soccer player. Broadway came into view when I was a sophomore in high school.
(About Glee) "If I could have written a show for myself, this would have been it. I really enjoy going to work. In New York, I was spoiled by working with so many amazing New York writers, and I really thought they were just artists. I felt like in L.A., people are trying to crank out scripts by Friday. But I really love the words that these guys on Glee use. I don't feel like I'm selling my soul out. It's very special. Ryan Murphy has really kind of created this world that he wants."
(About his mentors) "I've had several in my life. In High School there were two teachers who really paved the way for me and encouraged me to stick with theater. Their names were David Green and Ralph Opacic. As of late, I've been fortunate enough to have mentors in the shows I've done. Dick Latessa, from Hairspray, was and is still a great mentor to me. And while working on the film Once Upon a Mattress, Denis O'Hare was there to offer invaluable advice to me. I think the greatest thing about these mentors is that they wouldn't call themselves mentors. They are just amazing human beings who don't even know that they are inspiring people all around them. I feel lucky to have been in their presence."
(His favorite musicals) "My favorite musical...it used to be when I was growing up, Miss Saigon, but I don’t know, I don’t really like it anymore. You know, my favorite musical is Assassins. I really enjoyed the recent production of it at Studio 54. It was originally produced by Playwrights Horizons. It’s a Stephen [Sondheim] musical, it’s all about a bunch of assassins through history."
