Hello Glee, It’s Been So Long

It felt like I had been waiting forever for Glee to come back. Low and behold, it finally returned! I was kind of disappointed in this episode. Maybe it was because it’s just starting out and the drama isn’t really juicy yet, or because the songs weren’t really jammin’ as usual.

First of all, why are Finn and Rachel together…already? They didn’t waste any time at all. I can see Puck and Quinn being together so fast. He needs a girl like her to keep his butt in check too. And, WHAT is with Will? He left Terri what, five minutes ago and he’s already smackin’ lips with TWO other women? Can you say double rebound? It was so wrong of him to make his and Emma’s “song” the same as him and his wife’s prom song. Terri may have hurt him and he may be angry with her, but subconsciously, he’s still in love with her.


I like the “Hello” theme of the show. It’s like they’re saying “Hello, we’re back” and implying the fact that Finn and Will need to say “hello” to themselves and find out who they really are without the women they were attached to. It was funny when Rachael “focused on the first syllable” of the word hello. She rocked that song too. It was the best song on the entire episode. I wasn’t really feeling the other songs. Did anybody else think the dude was dancing too dramatically for that song? But my, my, my, this season Cory Monteith has gotten…bigger…sexier…something. I was digging that black sweater he was wearing when he was singing his “Hello” song. Whoo! I was enjoying that view.

Anyway, poor naive Rachael; getting set up for yet another let down. She should be smart enough by now to always do the opposite of what Sue tells her. Why does she think she and this Jesse character are in love so soon? I can see why she’d fall for him so easily with this pouty lips and cute eyes. He was smoothly pulling her in with his sweet song. He’s a dag on siren! I knew he was up to no good and how creepy did it look when he was making out with Rachael but was looking his teacher in the eye? Eww.
I’m sorry, but I thought Finn was dumb last season with the whole pregnancy scam. But he just proved some level of idiocy this time when he went out with Britney and Santana at the same time. It was hilarious how they were just sitting there talking about him like he wasn’t there. Then, they’re trying to scam for free food. I was too through when they told him to leave his credit card and go sit in the car. He’s cute and sweet but he better get some kind of brains!

The show stopper is Sue. How does one begin to describe this…woman? She’s so funny with her evil self! Just when I thought she couldn’t get any worse, she goes and sets up the principal so she could come back and terrorize Will and the glee club. I don’t know why I was so shocked that she’d go to such lengths but I was. How about her Vogue video though? Ooooh, now THAT was entertaining. Then she had her own lyrics.

Glee wasn’t all that this week but I still can’t wait to see next week’s episode. I’m looking forward to all the drama of the season but, they better step it up!
